Africa-Press – Angola. The president of the Institute of the World Tourism Forum (IFMT), Bulut Bagci, announced on Friday, in Luanda, the holding of an International Tourism Investment Conference, on the 18th and 19th of June, in Angolan capital city.
Bulut Bagci highlighted the country as one of the main emerging destinations for investors on the African continent, when speaking to the press at the end of an audience granted by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, who, he said, presented the format and details of the event and reinforced the institution’s interest in promoting Angola on the international tourist scene.
Bulut Bagcı, who is visiting the country for the second time, after a first stay in 2019, highlighted that Angola currently has favorable conditions to attract investments, with emphasis on infrastructure development, improvements in the airport sector, visa facilitation policies, political stability and security for tourists.
“The set of these factors places Angola as one of the preferred destinations for investors, especially in a global context in which investment flows tend to move to Africa”, he highlighted.
The institution has been reinforcing its presence in Africa, including in Angola, with actions aimed at promoting tourism as a vector of economic diversification.
The official also pointed out concrete signs of this interest, saying that, during ITB Berlin, three memorandums of understanding were signed with international business groups interested in investing in the hotel sector and related areas in Angola.
Bulut Bagcı also considered that the current international context favors the positioning of Angola as a tourist and investment destination, highlighting the growing interest of large investors in the Angolan market.
The World Tourism Forum Institute, an independent international organization founded in 2010 and based in London, acts as a global reflection center dedicated to the development of sustainable tourism, promoting conferences, strategic studies and investment attraction initiatives.
As part of its activities, IFMT promotes conferences and summits, provides consultancy on public tourism policies and encourages investments in the sector, in addition to publishing specialized content, such as World Magazine, and preparing international rankings.
