Africa-Press – Angola. Fifteen people died in a road accident on Wednesday, in the Serra da Leba, in Angolan southwest province of Namibe, following the collision between a truck and a bus, which after the clash it skidded with the more than 50 passengers he had on board.
The accident, according to witnesses, occurred around 14h00 and so far, rescue teams from Huila and Namibe are trying to find more deadly and surviving victims, given the severity of the disaster.
15 bodies and 21 wounded, mostly critical, and transported to the Lubango Central Hospital, 35 kilometers from the accident site have already been rescued.
The bus, which after the shock with the truck fell into the cliff, belongs to private operator Pafil, who confirmed the ownership of the vehicle, and made the Lubango/Moçâmedes route.
In an informative note, Namibe’s provincial government states that the competent authorities are on the ground to investigate the facts.
‘We appeal to calm and responsibility in sharing information until the data is officially disclosed, ”reads the document.
