Africa-Press – Angola. The 40th edition of the Angola International Fair (FILDA) 2025 was opened on Tuesday in the Special Economic Zone in the province of Icolo e Bengo by the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, José de Lima Massano, who highlighted the role of the country’s largest exhibition as a full demonstration of the resilience of the Angolan economy.
According to him, the event represents the largest business meeting point for investors, political and administrative authorities, distributors, suppliers, and consumers, noting that the incentives for economic growth and ongoing structural reforms are beginning to produce encouraging results.
Angola’s largest business exchange began with cultural activities, followed by a welcome for exhibitors and visitors.
The name change, which retains the acronym FILDA, is justified by the scope of the event and the country’s new Political-Administrative Division, according to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, which promotes the fair in partnership with the company Eventos Arena. Angola’s largest business exchange brings together two thousand companies from various sectors and 19 invited countries in this edition, surpassing the one thousand and 707 exhibitors at FILDA/2024.
This year, in addition to marking the event’s 40th anniversary, FILDA is being held as Angola prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary of National Independence, which will be celebrated on November 11th.
For six days, exhibitors will participate in high-level networking, exchange experiences and contacts, and close deals, gain direct access to investors, and gain brand exposure, according to government projections.
Topics such as “Decisions under Pressure: Burnout, Mental Health, and the Impact on Lifestyle Choices,” “The Capital Market in Angola,” “Institutional Success Stories,” “Accelerate Your Business,” “Evolution of Foreign Trade in the 50th Anniversary of Independence,” and “Adoption of Digital in International Trade in Angola” will be discussed at the 40th edition of FILDA/2025, which will culminate with the Golden Lions Gala on the 27th of this month.
Unlike previous editions, the Angola International Fair 2025 will feature 93 percent participation from Angolan companies, with the creation of an Angolan cultural hall, where works of art in painting, poetry, literature, music, dance, and other expressions representing the country’s 21 provinces will be exhibited, according to Eventos Arena.
