Africa-Press – Angola. The organizing committee of the 1st Constitutive Congress of PRA-JA Servir Angola, confirmed this Wednesday, 30th, the candidacies of militants Abel Chivukuvuku and Francisco Canga, to compete in the conclave that will take place on the 19th and 22nd of May.
“With the qualification of these two candidates, the conditions have been created for the congress to take place from 19 to 22 May. The candidates have also been authorised for the electoral campaign, where they will present their main lines of support”, said the coordinator of the commission, Carlos Xavier Lucas, at a press conference to journalists.
According to Carlos Xavier Lucas, the congress will clarify the issues of the United Patriotic Front (FPU), the preparation of strategic governance indicators 2027-2032, “being Government or being part of the Government”.
The congress will adapt a global agenda for obtaining financial resources for the implementation of the 2025-2027 political agenda and the electoral campaign.
Carlos Xavier Lucas said that for logistical and financial reasons, the number of delegates to the conclave was reduced from 1,500 to 750.
It should be noted that PRA-JA Servir Angola was legalized in October 2024, after a process initiated in 2019, marked by several failures by the Constitutional Court.
The party is part of the United Patriotic Front (FPU), a platform created in the 2022 general elections, together with UNITA and the Democratic Bloc.
