Africa-Press – Angola. The TK academy won, on Sunday, as a team, the 6th edition of the provincial youth Judo tournament, called “Judokinha”, by winning in the final of the competition, held in the city of Huambo, the counterpart of Judocano.
In third place in the tournament, which was played by team for the first time, was the Caso Mixa academy, which interrupted its participation in the final of the competition, alleging irregularities in the fights.
In individual, the Xavier Samacau academy revalidated the title, obtaining six gold medals, two silver and one bronze.
In second place was TK, with two gold, equal number of silver and one bronze, while Judocano occupied the last place on the podium (3rd), with one gold, four silver and the same number of bronze.
The provincial children’s and youth Judo tournament “Judokinha” is an initiative of the local Judo Association, in partnership with the National Children’s Institute (INAC), as part of the June commemorative day dedicated to children.
The competition aimed to spread the modality among children and young people and discover new talents, providing them with moments of home and fun, in obedience to the 10th commitment in favor of the child “The Child and the Social Communication, Culture and Sport ”.
The present edition of the competition had the participation of more than one hundred male and female athletes from the cadet and youth categories, representing 13 academies, all from the municipality of Huambo, who competed in -20-25, -30, -35, 45, -50, -52, -56 and -57.
