Africa-Press – Angola. Several warehouses and stores, on the perimeter of Avenida Ngola Kiluanje and adjacent streets, in the District of Hoji ya Henda (Cazenga), were closed for 72 hours, starting Monday, as part of the reordering of trade in the public road, in an initiative of the Municipal Administration of Cazenga.

According to a document from the administration of Cazenga, this measure aims to safeguard risks to public health, hygiene, safety and the economic interests of consumers and the community in general.

The note adds that the disorderly sale on public roads constitutes a transgression under the terms of Law no 1/17 of 14 May, no 1, Article 43o, Law of Commercial Activities and article 122o of the Code of Administrative Procedure.

With a view to safeguarding order and the public interest and allowing the regularization of the exercise of mercantile activity, Seventh Avenue of Ngola Kiluanje and adjacent streets of Borracheira, Kianda, alleyways of Porto Moniz, Nova Luz, Rua do Funchal and in the area of Kwanza market.

In addition to the warehouses, the document continues, this suspension also includes the “process houses” that support the storage of products sold on the sidewalks, as well as the economic agents that support this administrative transgression.

The disorderly selling in Cazenga is most evident in the urban district of Hoji Ya Henda.
