The new mobile network operator in the country, which has been operating for six months, has appointed Nigerian Godfrey Efeurhobo as the group’s new commercial director to “accelerate its growth in Angola and the Democratic Republic of Congo” (DRC).
According to Africell, in a statement, the new official joins the operator six months after the launch of services in Angola, “being one of the most developed countries in Africa, where the communications sector has suffered decades of underinvestment”.
“By offering fast, low-cost and reliable services, Africell has already been disruptive in the Angolan landscape, having gained more than 5 million customers since April 2022”, reads the statement quoted by Lusa.
