Africa-Press – Angola. The General Tax Administration (AGT) expects this year to increase the number of tax service posts in Lunda Norte province, aiming at raising revenue for the State and combating tax evasion.
The information was provided Monday, in Dundo, by the head of the Chitato tax office, Pedro Dinis, stressing that the posts will be opened in the municipalities of Cambulo, Cuango and Chitato, due to the volume of business.
He said that with the expansion of services in Lunda Norte, the aim is to combat tax evasion, smuggling of goods, increase tax collection.
He added that the process of improving working and inspection conditions at the Furi-3, Itanda and Tchicolondo border posts is ongoing.
Until March of this year, the AGT goal pointed to a collection of seven billion kwanzas, against six billion in 2022.
Over the last two years, AGT raised 18.8 billion kwanzas, amounts that exceeded the planned targets, which were 8.6 billion kwanzas.
The highest collection was recorded in 2022, a total of 9.7 billion Kwanzas.
Currently, the province of Lunda Norte has three tax collection posts in Chitato, Lucapa and Cuango.
