Africa-Press – Angola. The Administrator of AGT (General Tax Administration) for the Northern Region, Leonildo Manuel, appealed to businesspeople to continue complying with their tax obligations, aiming to contribute to the collection of revenue for the State.

“Taxpayers must be fiscally aware and aware of their obligations, so that the Executive can obtain revenue to meet the country’s needs, as set out in the General State Budget”, he stressed.

Speaking during the III colloquium on “Business Environment in the province of Malanje – challenges and opportunities”, promoted by the Specialties Committee of MPLA economists and management professionals, the person in charge also called on companies to create tax headquarters in the locations where they develop their activities. their economic activities, so that they can contribute to local benefit.

He considered Malanje to be of great strategic importance for the country, as a large part of the revenues from the second tax region come from this province and Uíge, giving strength to the General State Budget.

At the opening of the event, the second secretary of the MPLA Provincial Committee, Nelo de Carvalho, said that the party has supported and will continue to support the Executive’s actions, which aim to accelerate the process of diversifying the national economy, towards increasing production , reduction of unemployment and import substitution.

The politician said it was important to inform citizens about the government’s actions and the economic and financial situation that the country is currently experiencing, in order to avoid speculation.

The secretary of the Specialty Committee of MPLA economists and management professionals, Elizete Gonga stressed that the colloquium aims to clarify the importance of the tax procedure and general taxpayer guarantees to the province’s economic agents, due to the problems that many tax taxpayers face with the AGT , for tax evasion.

During the event, topics related to Tax Procedures, Legal Mechanisms, Inspection, Extension of Tax Obligations, General Guarantees for Taxpayers and Charges for Tax Procedures, among others, were discussed.

The colloquium was promoted by the MPLA in partnership with AGT and aimed to reinforce interaction and create a business environment, to increase jobs and was attended by party activists, businesspeople and employees of the General Tax Administration, among other guests.
