AIPEX raises US$11 billion in private investment

Africa-Press – Angola. US$11 billion is the amount raised by the Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX), since 2018, through the 531 investment projects submitted to the institution, said Tuesday the Chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) , Lello Francisco.

Of the 531 investment projects submitted to AIPEX, according to the manager, 269 have already been implemented and created 12,000 jobs, but when all projects are implemented, a maximum of 54,000 jobs will be reached.

Lello Francisco, who was speaking at the 9th edition of the Café-CIPRA debate forum, added that, of the implemented projects, 12% are in the food processing industry sector, where a large number of investors have migrated from service providers to manufacturers.

The PCA of AIPEX said that there are close to 400 projects in the implementation phase, which demonstrates a growth rate of two percent of projects in execution.

“AIPEX provides full assistance to companies, a fact that reduces investors’ risks in the national market, and calls on private entrepreneurs to seek the agency to obtain the necessary assistance”, he recommended.

The 9th edition of the “Dialogue without Mediation”, called Café-CIPRA addressed the theme “Relaunching Industry and Fostering Employability”, with the Ministers of Industry and Commerce, Victor Fernandes, and of Economy and Planning, Mário Caetano João .

Also part of the facilitators were the chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of the Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX), Lello João Francisco, and the Executive Director of the Special Economic Zone, Adriano Celso Borja.
