Africa-Press – Angola. Albertina Kassoma, an Angolan pivot who plays for Rapid Bucharest, fifth in the Romanian league, was named the most valuable foreign player in the “Mol Flower League”, the name of the competition, on Sunday.
The award was given after a vote by the teams’ coaches. The award was presented by the president of the Romanian Handball Federation, Constantin Din, and in the presence of the director of the Rapid Bucharest Sports Club, Vlad Andronescu.
On social media, Albertina Kassoma expressed her satisfaction with the award and stressed that the achievement was the result of “a lot of training, collaboration and hard work throughout the season”. Kassoma, 28, played 15 games and scored 62 goals, being the team’s second top scorer, behind Andela Janjušević, who scored 64 goals.
