The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Angola to the United States of America (USA), Agostinho de Carvalho dos Santos Van-Dúnem, received this Tuesday, in audience, the Angolan international basketball player Sílvio de Sousa, currently a player of Chorale Roanne Basket , on France.
The meeting is part of the embassy’s program aimed at bringing together and listening to the various fringes of the Angolan community residing in the US.
On the occasion, the diplomat Agostinho Van-Dúnem, encouraged the extreme Angolan pole to continue on the right path and continue to raise, high, the name and flag of the Angolan nation.
The Ambassador offered all his support and expressed his desire to see Sílvio de Sousa representing the National Basketball Team. Seen as one of the greatest promises of Angolan basketball, the young Sílvio de Sousa is the son of Jean Jacques da Conceição (ancient glory of Angolan basketball).
Also within the scope of the consultation program, recently, Ambassador Agostinho Van-Dúnem also received in audience the Director of National Geographic in Angola, Kerllen Costa, from whom he obtained detailed explanations about the Okavango Zambezi project.
