Africa-Press – Angola. The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Angola to the United States of America, Joaquim do Espírito Santo, received, on Tuesday, in Washington DC, the declaration of proclamation of Angola’s Republic Day in Hampton.
The proclamation statement was delivered by the mayor of the city of Hampton, Donnie Tuck, as part of a courtesy visit to the Embassy of Angola in the United States of America.
According to a press release from the Angolan Embassy in the USA, from now on, every year, on the 27th of August, Angola Day will be celebrated in Hampton.
It should be remembered that in February of the current year, Joaquim do Espírito Santo met with Mayor Donnie Tuck, as part of the commemorations of the 4th of February, the day of the beginning of the Armed Struggle for National Liberation, which coincided with the Month of Black History.
