Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan ambassador to Brazil, Florêncio de Almeida, said Wednesday, in Brasília, that, for his country, the unity between all the countries of the continent is the key for the progress and development of the African continent.
Florêncio de Almeida, who was speaking during the meeting of the Group of African Ambassadors in Brazil, organized by the Embassy of Angola, also highlighted the need to hold periodic meetings for joint reflection, because, as he said, “the power of reason is the product of the concertation of ideas and ideals’.
According to a note from the Embassy of Angola, the meeting took place at the International Convention Center in Brasília and was chaired by Martin Mbeng, ambassador of Cameroon and dean of the Group of African Ambassadors in Brazil.
At the meeting, new heads of African diplomatic missions were introduced and pertinent issues of common interest to the countries that make up the Group were addressed .
