Africa-Press – Angola. The First Lady of the Republic, Ana Dias Lourenço, fulfilled, on Tuesday and Wednesday, in Addis Ababa, a work agenda at the Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD), in her capacity as vice-president.According to a note from the Office of the First Lady of the Republic sent, the meetings held on a joint agenda with the First Lady of Sierra Leone, Fátima Maada Bio, and president of the organization, reinforced the joint commitment to development and cooperation on the African continent.

In addition to the formal presentation of the new leadership to partners, the highlight was the presentation event of the Strategic Framework 2025-2030.

With the new framework, OAFLAD reaffirms its leadership, vision and commitment to the development of Africa, based on the fundamental and transversal pillars related to climate change, peace and security on the continent, as well as essential ones related to strengthening health systems, to ensure universal and quality access for women and children, equitable and accessible education, economic empowerment of women and the eradication of gender-based violence.OAFLAD aims to advocate and promote impactful initiatives that drive effective solutions to critical development challenges.

With a firm commitment to a prosperous and equitable Africa, the organization advocates that all women and children have access to dignified and transformative opportunities.

The program also included courtesy meetings between the President and Vice-President of OAFLAD with the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mahamoud Ali Youssouf, with the Director of the Department of Political Affairs, Peace and Security of the African Union Commission, Alhaji Sarjoh Bah, and with the First Lady of the Republic of Ethiopia, Zinash Tayachew.
