Angola and Senegal Strengthen Ombudsman Cooperation

Africa-Press – Angola. The Ombudsman’s Offices of Angola and Senegal signed on Wednesday, in Luanda, an institutional cooperation agreement, as part of the celebrations of the 21st anniversary of the Angolan institution.

The document was signed by the heads of the two institutions, Florbela Rocha Araújo and Demba Kandji, and establishes a framework for collaboration focused on the exchange of knowledge, sharing of experiences, and adoption of best practices in the exercise of their respective duties.

The main areas of cooperation include the organization and functioning of the Ombudsmen’s Offices, the procedures and methodologies for analyzing and investigating complaints, as well as the mechanisms for mediation between citizens and the Public Administration.

The agreement also covers institutional communication and strategies for citizen outreach, administrative modernization, digitization of services and information management, in addition to joint participation in regional and international networks of Ombudsmen.

The ceremony took place at the Palace of Justice and was attended by ombudsmen and mediators from different countries, present at the celebrations of the 21st anniversary of the Angolan institution.
