Angola and Serbia Discuss Strengthening Cooperation in the Field of Tourism

Africa-Press – Angola. Angola and the Republic of Serbia will discuss, this Wednesday, in Luanda, strengthening cooperation in the fields of agriculture, tourism and facilitating tourist visas for citizens of both countries. The discussion was made during a meeting between the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Esmeralda Mendonça, and the Serbian ambassador to Angola, Milos Perisic.

According to a note, consulted by JA Online, during the meeting, both entities also discussed the deepening of political and diplomatic relations between the two States, with emphasis on Angola’s participation in Expo Serbia, which will take place at the end of this year.

The Serbian diplomat also took the opportunity to request Angola’s support for Serbia’s candidacy for the Francophonie and to express the European country’s interest in taking part in the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of National Independence, which will last until the end of 2025.

Angola and Serbia have a historic and solid diplomatic relationship that dates back to the post-independence period of Angola in 1975.

Serbia, which at the time was part of the former Yugoslavia, was the first European country to recognize Angola’s independence.

This cooperation has been strengthened on the basis of mutual respect and common interest.

The partnership between the two countries strengthens the connections between Africa and Eastern Europe, promoting not only economic and cultural exchanges, but also strategic cooperation in international forums.
