Africa-Press – Angola. The Secretary of State for Human Rights and Citizenship, Ana Januário, discussed, this Wednesday, in Luanda, with the director of the Division of the Human Rights Council of the United Nations High Commissioner, Mahamane Gouro, the reinforcement of the partnership between the two institutions.
According to a note from the Ministry of Justice sent, the meeting also served to identify the converging points of existing cooperation and build a permanent institutional dialogue in the field of promotion, defense and protection of Human Rights.
The note refers that at the meeting held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Justice, the concerns of the Luanda provincial committee for Human Rights and the needs for implementing the operational plan were heard.
Members of the Interministerial Commission for the Elaboration of National Reports on Human Rights (CIERNDH) and civil society organizations participated in the high-level working meeting.
