Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of State and head of the Military House of the President of the Republic, Francisco Furtado, received, this Thursday, in audience, the US ambassador to Angola, Tulinabo Mushingi, having analyzed the agreements assumed between the two States in the domain of defense.
The meeting was part of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of defense and security between the Republic of Angola and the US, according to a press release made available to press yesterday.
According to the note, the US ambassador informed of the arrival, this month, of senior officials from the defense and security department.
The document adds that the visit of the said officials aims to analyze and evaluate the ongoing actions and the implementation of others, within the framework of the modernization of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) and other bodies.
Angola is one of the African countries with which the United States of America has a strategic partnership. The others are South Africa and Nigeria.
