Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, has been in Djerba, Tunisia, since the early hours of this Saturday, to represent the Head of State, João Lourenço, at the 18th Summit of the Organization Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) and at the Commemorations of the 50 Years of the Launch of the OIF.
The event, which started this morning, will be held under the theme “Connectivity in Diversity: Digital as a vector of development and solidarity in the French-speaking space”, and will be attended by Heads of State and Government or their representatives from 88 member countries .
The International Organization of Francophonie is an institutional mechanism dedicated to the promotion of the French language and the implementation of political, educational, economic and cultural cooperation in member states, which share similar principles and values such as peace, democracy, human rights and environmental protection, among others.
