Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Economy and Planning, Mário Caetano João, is in New York, where he will represent Angola, this Tuesday, at the 2023 Partnership Forum, of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
The said forum will take place at the headquarters of the United Nations, according to a note from the said Ministry.
“Accelerate the recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at all levels”, is the motto of the forum that will last only one day.
On Tuesday, the day of the event, according to the note, the head of Economy and Planning will make the national declaration at the 2023 Partnership Forum, which will take place at the United Nations Fiduciary Council, where Angola will present the current socio-economic framework. and perspectives for the next 5 years.
This Monday, the 30th, Mário Caetano João plans to meet with the Regional Director of the United Nations Development Programme, UNDP, Ahunna Eziakonwa.
During the meeting, the two personalities will address the projects that the UNDP is implementing in Angola and the prospects for the future.
It should be recalled that UNDP, in addition to other projects in Angola, has provided technical assistance in the implementation of the Informal Economy Reconversion Program (PREI).
