Africa-Press – Angola. The minister counselor at the Angolan Embassy in China, Joana Feijó, said, Friday, in Beijing, that “Angola is a model of political stability in Africa and in the world”.
Speaking on behalf of Ambassador João Salvador Neto, Joana Feijó supported her statement “in the strength of the past of Dr. António Agostinho Neto, who died in 1979, and the present of President João Lourenço”.
The counselor minister was speaking as part of the day alluding to the Centenary festivities of António Agostinho Neto, in the Chinese city of Beijing, in the presence of foreign diplomats, the Angolan community residing in Beijing, guests from various strata of Chinese society and other nationalities.
The diplomat spoke about Neto’s historical path, as a poet, a deeply human doctor and a high-level politician, with a strategic vision at the time while he was on active duty. These qualities, according to Joana Feijó, are reflected today, being reasons of inspiration for the new generation, especially in Angolan and international politics.
With more than one hundred guests, the event had a full cultural menu, the highlight of which was the exhibition with the theme “psychoarteology and crisis in the vision of the hero”, followed by music, by the young Angolan student Adilson de Oliveira, and the Kizomba dance, which involved six pairs, four of whom live in Guangzhou, who performed virtually, and two in Beijing.
At the end of the event, prizes, participation certificates and souvenirs were awarded.
