Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan Government denied, this Wednesday, that it was in negotiations with the British authorities allegedly to welcome illegal migrants repatriated from the United Kingdom.
The information is contained in a note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that reacted to speculation in the foreign press on the subject.
In the note, the Ministry explains that it became aware, in recent days, of information circulated by several international media outlets, according to which the Angolan Executive was in such negotiations with the British Government.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hereby informs national and international public opinion that the aforementioned information does not correspond to reality and that the Angolan Executive denies any contact with the British Government in this regard”, states the document.
