Africa-Press – Angola. The National Junior Women’s Handball Team finished the group stage of the African Cup of Nations, which takes place in Guinea Conakry, in first position, with five points, after yesterday’s draw, 24 goals, with Egypt.

The two teams didn’t add any defeats in the previous meetings, however the Angolan goal difference (85), six more in relation to the Egyptians, gave the Pearls the leadership of Group D.

At half-time, Angola was trailing by 14-15, but the coaches of José Terça Chuma managed to balance and keep the lead. In the first game, Angola got the better of Burkina Faso, by an expressive 42-16, and once again showed its offensive capacity against the similar team from Zambia, in the second round of the competition, in a match played at Palácio dos Desportos.
