Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, received, during an audience granted to the credited Japanese ambassador, explanations regarding the draft resolution on nuclear disarmament that this country will take to the United Nations General Assembly for discussion and approval.

Ambassador Maruhashi Jiro met the head of Angolan diplomacy last Friday, as part of contacts related to the work of the first commission of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), which, in New York, whose member states discuss and approve, on the 28th of this month, the draft resolution on nuclear disarmament.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes, in a press release to which Jornal de Angola had access, that this resolution, on the initiative of Japan and co-sponsored by many countries, is approved every year.

During the meetings, minister Téte António and ambassador Maruhashi Jiro took the opportunity to discuss the deepening of bilateral relations between the two countries, with emphasis on the exchange of visits at the highest level.
