Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan ambassador to Albania, Fátima Jardim, expressed, in Tirana, the need to promote the creation of a common chamber of commerce and the holding of a Business Forum in the field of agro-industry.

In the Albanian capital, the non-resident ambassador, where she participated, on Wednesday, in the ceremony presenting New Year’s greetings to President Bajirm Bagaj, asked for speed in contacts between APIEX and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Albania to increase commercial and technological exchanges.

According to a press release, the diplomat committed to continuing and promoting dialogue between higher education institutions, innovation and entrepreneurship, and bringing the private sector and other partnerships closer together.

In Tirana, Fátima Jardim held a courtesy meeting with the director of the Albanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for sub-Saharan Africa, Meri Shahini, to thank, among others, the support provided to Angolan athletes who participated in the Mixed Martial Arts world championship ( MMA), in November 2023.

He emphasized that the conditions have been created to boost cooperation, collaboration and reinforce the exchange of experience and dialogue between the two countries.

He pointed out that Angola and Albania are interested in cooperating in the sectors of education, sport, commerce, agro-industry, scientific research, among other areas.

The diplomat defended the signing of a memorandum for political consultations, aiming to exchange opinions in various areas of collaboration and agreement on priority issues, at bilateral and multilateral level.

Albania is a small mountainous country on the Balkan peninsula in southeastern Europe. It has a total area of ​​28 thousand 748 km2 and a population of around three million inhabitants.

It is limited to the north by Montenegro, to the northeast by Kosovo, to the east by North Macedonia and Greece to the south by the Adriatic Sea.
