On the sidelines of the conference, minister Mário de Oliveira stated that Angola’s contributions to the world conclave are being well received and highlights the work of the technical team that was part of a commission of African countries.
He praised the approval, on Monday afternoon, during an ITU plenary, of a resolution related to the range of frequencies in the exploration of satellites.
According to the minister, there were voices that defended the transfer of a set of frequencies allocated to the space segment to the mobile telephone industry.
“It was excellent work by the African countries”, said the head of MINTTICS, for whom the union was successful.
“We are happy with Resolution 599 approved and there are other issues regarding the radio spectrum still under discussion,” he said.
