Africa-Press – Angola. The Secretary of State for Energy and Water, Arlindo Carlos, said, in Paris, France, that it is crucial to attract partners who are committed to sustainable development and who see the Angolan market as an opportunity for joint growth.
In Paris, as part of the Investment Attraction Forum, Arlindo Carlos, who met with the Angolan ambassador to France, Guilhermina Prata, highlighted the need for more investment in the energy sector in Angola.
Regarding the area he represents, the Secretary of State for Energy and Water presented an assessment to the ambassador, explaining that the current energy coverage rate in the country corresponds to 43%, with the goal of reaching 50% by 2027, through the realization of up to 27 thousand new connections per year and the adoption of the latest available technologies, in addition to the completion and implementation of several ongoing electrical projects, with a special focus on photovoltaic plants in the East and Center-South of the country, where the current situation of deficit in the supply of water and electricity must change radically.
The ambassador thanked her for the detailed presentation, highlighting the importance of this information for the Angolan diaspora.
He then emphasized the importance of holding the forum in the French capital to strengthen cooperation and investment ties between Angola and international partners.
