Africa-Press – Angola. A memorandum of understanding, focused on incorporating Angola into the Turkish-African cooperation network, was recently signed between the Angola-Turkey Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIAT) and the Turkish African Business Association (TABA).
TABA is an independent, non-profit organization that acts as a link between Turkey and Africa, promoting the strengthening of commercial, diplomatic, social, and cultural relations between the two regions.
According to a press release from CCIAT, received Thursday, the agreement was sealed during the official mission of the president of the aforementioned chamber of commerce, Sérgio Campos da Conceição, to that Eurasian country.
As an immediate result of the legal instrument, according to the document, the CCIAT, in coordination with legal institutions, began preparations for the arrival of a delegation of 25 Turkish businesspeople to Angola in January 2026.
It clarifies that the mission will include high-level meetings and visits to strategic sectors of the Angolan economy, namely agriculture, energy, logistics, manufacturing, and infrastructure.
For the president of the CCIAT, quoted in the report, the agreement opens a new stage for the Angolan economy, considering that with TABA “we will have greater integration into the Turkish market and access to partnerships that can transform Angola’s business environment, creating more jobs, reducing external dependence, and promoting the country’s industrialization.
During his stay in Turkey, Sérgio Campos da Conceição participated in one of the largest Turkish business forums and established high-level contacts for future of trade relations between Angola and Turkey.
