Angola wants closer ties with Togo

Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, expressed Thursday, his desire to see bilateral cooperation strengthened and the ties of friendship and fraternity that unite Angola and Togo to be strengthened.

The intention was expressed in a message, in which the Angolan Head of State congratulated the people and the Government of Togo on the celebration, of the 63 years of its national independence.

In the message sent to the Togolese President, Faure Gnassingbe, which press had access to in Luanda, João Lourenço hailed the achievements achieved by this African country, in the field of building the foundations of its progress and development.

In another missive, the President of the Republic joined the joy of the people of Sierra Leone, which yesterday celebrates 62 years of national independence.

The missive was sent to the President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio.

João Lourenço also expressed the desire to strengthen the friendship and cooperation relations that link Angola to Sierra Leone.

The Angolan Head of State also congratulated the people and Government of the Netherlands on the celebration of King’s Day, celebrated yesterday.

“I express on this occasion the interest of the Republic of Angola in deepening the ties of friendship with the Netherlands, as well as in continuing to create solid bases for the establishment of fruitful cooperation in the priority aspects of the national lives of our two countries”, refers to the Holder of Executive Power who addressed the message to His Majesty King Willem-Alexander.
