Africa-Press – Angola. The country intends to position itself as a leading digital economy in Africa through the implementation of the Smart Angola Initiative, which will bring benefits both to the national market and to citizens.
The information was released this Friday by the minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Manuel Homem, during a meeting he had with one of the members of the ruling family of the Emirate of Dubai, Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum.
The minister makes a working visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to fully implement the “proposal to implement the Digital Transformation Program (Digital Angola 2024)”, part of the Memoranda of Understanding signed in December 2021, at the time of the official visit of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.
