Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan athlete Patrício Neto won the gold medal in karate-do at the African Youth Games on Friday, a tournament held at the main pavilion of the Cidadela in Luanda.

The Angolan athlete achieved this feat in the -61 kilogram category.

With this achievement, Angola occupies third place in the overall standings, with five medals: one gold, three silver, and one bronze.

Algeria leads the ranking with 14 medals (10 gold, 3 silver, and 1 bronze), followed by Cameroon with seven medals: 2 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze.
