Africa-Press – Angola. A group of Angolan businessmen in the field of agriculture, who are looking for solutions to increase their agricultural production in Zambian lands, were received by the Angolan ambassador to that country, Azevedo Francisco.
Alfeu Vinevala and Ernesto Elias Bartolomeu, owners of Fazenda NV Hernesto e Filhos Lda, based in Bié, have already held meetings with representatives of the companies SEED Co and FRA, Ltd.
In addition to its use in soil fertilization, Fazenda VN HERNESTO Lda, is interested in marketing seeds and fertilizers, produced in Zambia, judging by the similarity of soils and climate, in various regions on both sides of the border. The training of technicians was another topic discussed. The meeting took place on Thursday.
The ambassador welcomed the businessmen for the initiative, as the partnership between businesspeople from the two countries can contribute to a greater trade flow between Angola and Zambia, with reciprocal advantages.
Fazenda VN Hernesto, Lda is headquartered in the province of Bié, being one of the largest producers of reindeer potato in the southern region of Angola. The project has already employed, throughout the different stages of the project, more than two thousand Angolans.
