Angolan businesspeople from different sectors, such as industry, commerce, agriculture, tourism, construction, oil and gas, technology and other areas, will participate, from the 18th to the 22nd of this month, in Madrid, in one of the most important international business and foreign trade fairs. of Spain, called IMEX.
According to an official source, Angola is one of the special guests, and national companies should take advantage of the fair to announce innovations and business opportunities in the country.
Another perspective, according to a note, is to ensure the internationalization of companies, new markets with technological innovation and diversification.
The fair will also serve as an opportunity for Angola to publicize the ongoing reforms and the improvement of the business environment, especially within the scope of the priorities defined by the Executive in the promotion and diversification of the economy, for the country to be, effectively, “a great destination for the foreign direct investment”.
From a strategic point of view, Angola is a partner of Spain, whose “strategic bilateral relations were strengthened and strengthened, in 2021, with the signing of agreements at the highest level and reciprocal visits by the Heads of the two Governments”.
Institutionally, the presence of Angola is being coordinated by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, with the support of the Angolan Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX) and the Embassy in Spain, in addition to other entities.
The IMEX is organized by the Revista Internacional de Negócios Moeda Única, with the main objective of improving the competitiveness of companies, with “an efficient and innovative offer of products and services necessary to promote the internationalization of companies”.
Madrid will host, this year, the 20th edition of IMEX. Also known as “Internationalization Week”, “the 2022 edition of IMEX will become the epicenter of international business for Spanish companies wishing to expand into foreign markets”, reads the event’s website.
The current challenges of the export sector will be reviewed, highlighting the importance of incorporating the Sustainable Development Goals into the fabric of companies, in order to establish a sustainable internationalization route.
Content such as the current situation in Ibero-America for trade and business investment, concepts of the financial, logistics, tourism, digitization and digital transformation, European funds and business partnership for internationalization will also be covered.
