Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan Government has made efforts through the facilitates program to ensure that all Angolans inside and outside the country have easy access to the regularization of documents.
The information was provided by the Angolan ambassador to the Republic of Namibia, Jovelina Imperial e Costa, in the Erongo region, where she held a meeting to get closer to the Angolan community residing in that Namibian locality.
According to a press release sent to Jornal de Angola, the meeting served for the Angolan Embassy in Namibia to bring its consular services closer to the communities.
At the meeting, which was attended by around 150 Angolans residing in Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, Jovelina Imperial e Costa stressed the importance of having personal documents regularized, thus avoiding problems with the Namibian authorities.
On the occasion, many Angolan citizens had the opportunity to process the Consular Card.

The event also served to appeal to Angolan citizens to carry out the Official Electoral Registration in Windhoek, so that next August they can have the opportunity to vote in the 2022 General Elections.
The Angolan diplomat informed that the Angolan Embassy in Namibia is providing support in terms of transport, in particular to Angolans who live in more distant locations to carry out the Electoral Registration in the city of Windhoek.
In turn, the representative of the Angolan community in Erongo, Liberato André, thanked on behalf of everyone for the support that the Embassy has provided to the community in that region and promised to do everything so that more Angolans can have access to consular services.
The Erongo Region, which is located on the coast of Namibia, 395 km from the capital Windhoek and which is home to the fishing towns of Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, is home to approximately six thousand Angolans.
