Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, left, this Tuesday, the Angolan capital, Luanda, bound for Rome, where, starting on Wednesday, he will pay a two-day state visit to Italy, at the invitation of of local authorities.
On leaving, the Head of State received farewell greetings from the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, and other personalities present at the “4 de Fevereiro” International Airport.
In the Italian capital, João Lourenço will meet with his counterpart Sergio Mattarella and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. With this one, he will have a working lunch.
Its agenda also includes participation in a dinner to be hosted by President Sergio Mattarella and in a business forum with businessmen from Angola and Italy.
During his visit to that European country, the Angolan President will also grant audiences to businessmen.
Angola and Italy established diplomatic relations on the 4th of June 1976. Venâncio de Moura was the first Angolan ambassador in this country, having presented the Letters of Credence to the then President of the Italian Republic, Giovanni Leone, on the 21st of November 1977.
