An Angolan military delegation, led by the venerable chief judge of the Supreme Military Court of the Angolan Armed Forces, General Cristo António Salvador Alberto, is expected, Monday (18), in the United States of America, for a 6-day working visit. , in the context of strengthening cooperation in the Defense sector.

The visit, which came in response to an invitation from the US military authorities, aims to learn about the functioning and organization of the military legal system of that world power, with emphasis on the military judicial bodies, namely the Criminal Law Division next to of the Pentagon, The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center & School (TJAGLCS) in Charllotteville, Virginia, as well as the United States Army Legal Services Agency (United States Army Legal Services Agency – USALSA).

According to the Embassy of Angola in the United States of America, the program also includes high-level meetings, with Major General Joseph B. Berger III, Deputy Attorney General of the US Army, Brigadier General David E. Mendelson, Judge Assistant Attorney General for Military Law and Operations for the US Army.

Also on the agenda are meetings with Brigadier General George R. Smawley, commander of the US Army Legal Services Agency and Brigadier General Alison C. Martin, commander of the Legal Center and School of Judge Advocate General of the Army American.
