Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, addressed, this Thursday (11), in Luanda, issues related to bilateral cooperation with the German ambassador to Angola, Stefan Traumann.

The meeting, which lasted approximately 20 minutes, also served for the two personalities to review issues in the regional and international arena.

The occasion also served for the German diplomat to deliver to the head of Angolan diplomacy a Letter of Invitation from the Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany, related to the holding of the Eighth World Congress against the Death Penalty, taking place in that country. European.

The director of Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Júlio Maiato, and the adviser to the head of Angolan diplomacy, Márcio Burity, witnessed the meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Stefan Traumann presented his credentials to President João Lourenço in November last year, when he had expressed the intention of the German Government to open an office in Angola for German companies to cooperate with the Angolan Government in the area of ​​hydrogen energy.

On the occasion, he pointed out the partnership in renewable energies, including solar and wind, as one of the priorities of his mission in Angola.

The diplomat also underlined at that time that Germany had a project in the area of ​​renewable energies, namely, the production of hydrogen energy. Traumann had also underlined the existence of projects within the scope of economic cooperation between the two countries.

Among the actions already carried out, he had mentioned the participation of German companies in infrastructure projects, construction and rehabilitation of more than 800 kilometers of roads.
