Africa-Press – Angola. The new Angolan Olympic Committee (AOC) Chairperson, Pedro Godinho, visited the National Sports Medicine Centre (CENAMED) in the Cidadela Sports Compound, on Tuesday (July 1) in Luanda, to see in first hand its conditions and its functioning.

Accompanied by the former COA’s Hed and current deputy coordinator of the Executive Committee of the African Youth Games/Luanda-2025, Gustavo da Conceição, the sports leaders got explained about the work of the specialized health facility from its director, doctor Stella Cristiano.

The African Youth Games are scheduled for December of the current year, and the condition of that health unit appears to be fundamental in the service to be provided to the athletes and other personnel involved.

The National Sports Medicine Centre is an institution providing comprehensive support to athletes, characterized by its social nature, organized as a service open to the public, and under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
