Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan striker Laurindo Aurélio “Depú” is the top scorer of the 2025 COSAFA Cup football tournament being held in South Africa, with four goals scored in two games.
The 24-year-old, who plays for FK Vojvodina in Serbia, scored a penalty goal in the minute 90 (th) minute of Angola’s Group B debut against Namibia and an hat trick in the second match against Lesotho.
Vidinho (Angola), Ime Okon (South Africa), Kabelo Dlamini (Lesotho), Ivan Kamberipa (Namibia), Ibrahim Madi (Comoros), Makara Ntaitsane (Lesotho), Toky Rakotondraibe (Madagascar), and António Sumbane (Mozambique) complete the list of scorers with one goal each.
At the 2024 COSAFA Cup in Port Elizabeth, Depú was the top scorer with five goals.
On Tuesday (10), Angola will face Malawi in the third round at Toyota Stadium at 5 p.m.
Angola leads Group B with four points.
Lesotho is second with three points, Namibia is third with two points, and Malawi is last with one point.
Laurindo Aurélio “Depú” trained at the Angolan club Académica do Lobito and played for Recreativo da Caála (2020–21), Sagrada Esperança da Lunda Norte (2021–22), Petro de Luanda (2022–23), and Gil Vicente de Portugal (2023–24).
He won the Angolan first division football championship with Petro de Luanda in the 2022–23 season and the Angola Super Cup with Sagrada Esperança in 2021–22 and the COSAFA Cup in 2024.
