Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan embassy in Turkey gathered, Saturday, in Ankara, Angolan students for the celebration of 21 years of peace and national reconciliation, in a spirit of reflection on the country’s future.

According to a note from the Angolan diplomatic representation this Sunday, chargé d’affaires Armando Francisco took the opportunity to recall the hard years of war for Angolans, also emphasizing the importance of peace.

The diplomat exhorted the students to do their best for the development of Angola, encouraging young people to preserve the peace that millions of Angolans cost a lot of sacrifice and the continuous process of national reconstruction, with dedication and honesty, for the edification of a country prosperous.

During the event, a video was shown on the consummation of the Peace Accords in Luena (Moxico) initialed on April 4, 2002, reminding young people of the history and reunion of the great Angolan family.

In turn, the students presented a video with opinions of what they think and wish for Angola in times of peace.

In the voice of Domingas dos Santos, the recitation of the poem “Creating Love with dry eyes” by the poet António Agostinho Neto was heard.

Student Carlos Bento, on the other hand, called for peaceful coexistence, freedom of thought and mutual respect for the consolidation of the Democratic State.

The event was preceded by a football match, between Angolan students and friends of the CPLP, with the Angolans winning by 6-3.
