Africa-Press – Angola. A photographic exhibition depicting Angola’s evolution from 1975 to the present is on display in Belgrade, Serbia, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Angola’s independence.
According to a press release from the Angolan Embassy in Serbia sent on Wednesday, the exhibition began on November 5 and provides an overview of the country’s historical and revolutionary journey.
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of national independence on November 11th, diplomats and members of the Angolan community in Serbia visited the Museum of African Art in Belgrade on Tuesday.
They were introduced to paintings, sculptures, engravings, photographs, documents, artifacts, and ethnological pieces portraying the life, history, and culture of African societies.
As part of the commemoration, a wreath was laid at the statue of the founder of the nation, António Agostinho Neto, located on the avenue bearing his name in Novo Belgrado.
The program includes the “Dipanda Walk” on November 22 and a guided tour of the President Tito House-Museum on the 26th.
