Africa-Press – Angola. The second commander of the 4th Infantry Division, assigned to the Centro Militar Region, of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), in Bié province, Brigadier Álvaro António, reaffirmed, in Cuito, the readiness and firmness of the troops in preserving unity national.
On the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the army, marked on Saturday, December 17th, Álvaro António highlighted the dedication, commitment and patriotism of the troops, who day-to-day zealously comply with the orders issued by superiors in favor of security and defense of the land space of the province and beyond.
He stressed that, despite the financial constraints, the continuous training and qualification of the staff for the good performance of their functions is one of the priorities.
In the act, soldiers were promoted to the ranks of lieutenant-colonels, major, captain, lieutenant, assistant sergeant, 1st and 2nd sergeant, sub-sergeant and first corporal.
Others received diplomas of merit.
Senior officers, junior officers, privates, civil and administrative workers and guests participated in the event.
