Africa-Press – Angola. On the 12th and 13th, at 19:30, the Companhia de Artes Sol (CAS) will exhibit the theater show “Desejos de Uma Viúva” on the stage of LAASP, Ex-Liga Africana, in Luanda, in order to greet the 14th of February, Valentine’s Day.
On Valentine’s Day, Companhia de Artes Sol will exhibit, on the same stage, in two sessions, one at 6:30 pm and another at 7:45 pm, the show “Quero Engravidar”, a comedy that tells the story of Joana Margarida, a girl from 35 years old, who is a millionaire heiress and an orphan of parents, who wants to have her son to continue the family name.
Unfortunately, Margarida has been diagnosed with malignant cancer and she has only one year and two months to live. So, she decides to place an ad in the newspaper looking for the father of the future child, and then she starts to receive unexpected visitors.
The play has 14 characters and seven actors enter the scene, especially Letícia Kambovo (Joana Margarida), Ricardo Costa (Mudo), José Calei (Drunk), José Calei and Ricardo (bandits), Orlando Quissaki (Gago), José Kialunda ( Diógenes Alexendre), Paula (Luciana dos Santos (Lubeck) and Ruth (Marlene Neto Natula), Tio Nzuzi (José Calei), with stage lighting by Kali Toso and Chance el Chadai, a play by Walter Cristovão, directed by Solange Feijó The play ”
Desejos de Uma Widova” is a drama that tells the story that involves the disputed interest in the widow, who is in love with sin. How is it possible for someone to break the tradition of using mourning because of their deepest desires (sexual and materials).
With adaptation and staging by Solange Feijó, the drama is performed by six actors, namely Filomena Manuel, character of Garopa (widow), Zé Maria Fernandes, “Kalunga” (Leleco), Orlando Quissaki (Barriga), Diógenes Alexandre (Mosque Brasa), Luciana dos Santos “Cabeça” (Lubeck) and Marlene Neto “Ngueve” (Natula). The show features Iluminação by Kali Toso and Chance el Chadai, an adaptation of the play by Victor Suama.
From Angola, Solange Feijó, director of CAS, said that the works were produced exclusively for Valentine’s month, with the aim of offering couples a true romantic atmosphere on Valentine’s Day.
