Africa-Press – Angola. The first edition of the banking sector awards gala “Angolan Banking Brands Awards – ABBA” takes place on December 2, with the participation of 18 categories.
The event is organized by the company Mukixi Brands in collaboration with Forbes África Lusófona Magazine.
Its objective is to recognize the merits of banking institutions, which have provided the best services to customers.
As for the categories, of the 18 chosen, 10 will be reserved only for the vote of the jury and the remaining eight for the public vote.
The categories selected by the organization include “best technological bank”, “best bank with internet banking services”, “best social project of the year”, “best term deposit”, “best investment bank”, “best Angola”, “women in leadership positions”, among other categories.
Speaking to the press at the launch of the gala, the director general of ABBA, Lady Mukeba, said that in addition to banks, banking institutions that have at least a digital wallet can also compete for the awards. This is because, she clarified, there are banking institutions that have digital wallets instead of internet banking.
Lady Mukeba also explained that the competing categories will be at the discretion of the banks and interested parties can participate in all categories or just one.
“Registrations are now open and to date some banks have signed up”, said Lady Mukeba, who added that, as it is an inclusive event, the “Banking Tok Same Forum” will also take place at the same gala, an event aimed at all bank workers, from technicians, supervisors, directors, but interested students.
