Africa-Press – Angola. The ex-soldiers of the Mina neighborhood, zone F, count on a water supply system from Bupula, in an initiative of the Municipal Administration of Benguela, in fulfillment of the program alluding to the commemorations of the 4th of February, the Day of the Beginning of the Armed Struggle in Angola.

In addition to this problem that affected the demobilized military from that district, the Administration of Benguela also delivered basic necessities, such as Agriculture, Commerce and Fishing kits, to better integrate into society.

According to the event’s programme, 15 two-wheeled motorcycles, 7 three-wheeled tipping motorcycles (caleluia) were also donated to micro-companies for waste collection in the six areas of the province’s seat municipality and 10 wooden benches for the sale of fruit and fish.

The Administration of Benguela also proceeded to deliver agricultural inputs to the ex-military, included in the scope of FADA, to cooperatives and individual producers. Of these, there are 140 bags of ammonium fertilizer, 195 bags of fertilizer, 10 bags of bean and corn seeds.

According to administrator Paula Mariza, this symbolic act justifies the determination that the heroes had in the dawn of February 4, 1961. “We are here to celebrate the beginning of the armed struggle and thanks to this movement, which ended in 1975, we conquered National Independence ”, he said last Thursday.

Carlos Alberto, municipal director of the Institute for Social Reintegration of Ex-soldiers (IRSEM), considered the moment of great feeling, since there are ex-soldiers who have been waiting for this feat since 1992, the year in which were demobilized. “Our work team has been raising the awareness of colleagues in order to encourage them to fit into society and with this help from the Administration, we are all to be congratulated”, he said.
