Africa-Press – Angola. The National Bank of Angola (BNA) warned, Friday, that the entity “Investimento.ao” is not qualified to carry out financial activity in Angola, such as monetary investment.
To commercial banks and the population in general, the BNA warns them to refrain from any business relationship with the said entity, as it is carrying out activities illegally.
“The entity Investimento.ao is not authorized to carry out, in Angola, any financial activity subject to its supervision, namely the provision of financial services, capturing deposits and monetary investments”, reads the note published by the BNA .
According to the BNA, such activities are exclusively reserved for banking financial institutions authorized by it, whose list can be consulted on the Central Bank website, at www.bna.ao
This time, the BNA also warns the promoters of the said entity to refrain from performing any act that could be classified as a very serious contravention, foreseen and punishable under the terms of the legislation in force.
The National Bank of Angola, within the scope of its attributions, as the supervisory body of the Angolan financial system, is responsible for authorizing and supervising the exercise of the activity of financial institutions.
