BNI reinforces ATM network in Viana

Africa-Press – Angola. Four ATMs, known as Multicaixas or ATMs, were installed this week in the municipality of Viana (Luanda), with a view to increasing the offer of banking services to residents of this locality, in an initiative by Banco de Negócios Internacional (BNI).

This initiative comes at a time when, especially on weekends, hundreds of citizens leave almost all municipalities in Luanda for the city center in search of money at Multicaixas, which are not always stocked with monetary values.

Named ATM Center BNI, the set of respective multi-cashier machines is installed along the well-known Estrada de Catete or Avenida Deolinda Rodrigues, in front of the company “Bassangol Limitada”.

In a press release, the Bank’s management ensures that the aforementioned ATMs are open every day (24/24), to provide financial solutions adapted to the needs of customers close to their homes at any time of the day.

According to the document (Saturday), this initiative is part of the strategy to increase geographic coverage underway at BNI, aiming to provide the population with easy, immediate and convenient access to banking services on a daily basis.

Additionally, the installation of the BNI ATM Center also has the priority objective of being ever closer to the customer, providing the “self-banking” service and a growing number of ATMs to the population, in strict alignment with BNA Notice no 18/ 22, which determines the geographical expansion of banking services in all municipalities in the country.

In view of this situation, the banking institution reiterates its commitment to continue working to better serve citizens close to their localities.

In addition to the multicaixas created in Viana, last June, BNI also inaugurated an ATM Center along Via Expressa.

Represented in 15 provinces of the country, BNI obtained authorization from the BNA for its constitution on 27 December 2005, having been constituted by public deed on 2 February 2006, at the Notary Office of Luanda, and published in Diário da Republica on March 20, 2006.

On October 6, 2020, the Board of Directors decided to increase the Bank’s share capital to AOA 26,879,946 thousand through incorporation of reserves in the amount of AOA 7,879,946 thousand.

This capital increase was aimed at providing the bank with an equity structure, enabling it to face, with greater solidity, the development of its activity and the requirements in terms of capital ratios arising from the regulatory framework.
