Africa-Press – Angola. The Vice-President of the Republic, Bornito de Sousa, considered, Wednesday (23), in Pretoria (South Africa), knowledge and human resources as great assets for the development of societies.

Speaking during a visit to the National School of Governance of South Africa, Bornito de Sousa maintained that, taking into account the changes that are intended to be implemented in all countries, in particular those of the cradle continent, it is necessary to invest in capital human.

On a private visit to South Africa since last Sunday, the Vice-President underlined: “we came here to meet and learn from this great institution, drink from your experience and see what programs exist and how we can integrate them into our reality”.

Accompanied by the Angolan ambassador to South Africa, Filomena Delgado, the Vice-President of the Republic intended, with the visit, to learn about the organization and functioning of that training institution for South African civil servants, which is a reference in the continent. .

The Vice-President was received by the South African Deputy Minister of Administration and Public Services, Chong Pilane-Majene. Bornito de Sousa had the opportunity to interact with the institution’s management and faculty, to whom he mentioned the existence of the Angolan counterpart, the National School of Administration and Public Policies (ENAPP), as a potential partner, as they share the same mission and goals.

Bornito de Sousa recalled that the National School of Governance’s mission is to train public servants to respond to the needs of citizens and the Government’s priorities, through a strong intervention in education, training and development.

According to information on the website of the Vice-Presidency of the Republic, Bornito de Sousa held, on Tuesday, a courtesy meeting, also in Pretoria, with his South African counterpart, David Dabede Mabuza.

At the meeting, the governors generically addressed the friendship and cooperation relations between the two countries and peoples, according to the portal.

On the occasion, the South African Vice-President expressed interest in returning to visit the Angolan region of Cuito Cuanavale, to fulfill promises made during his first visit to that historic site.

At the meeting with David Mabuza, held at the “Residencia OR Tambo”, at the Presidential Palace, Bornito de Sousa was accompanied by Ambassador Filomena Delgado.

In addition to being Vice President of South Africa, David Da-bede Mabuza is Vice President of the National Congress (ANC), the party that governs the country.
