Africa-Press – Angola. TAAG Linhas Aéreas de Angola announced today that the first route to be transferred, starting November 10, to the new Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport will be Cabinda. The decision was made because this route is the domestic destination with the highest volume of passenger and cargo traffic, with flights in the morning, afternoon and evening, which will allow the permanent activation of the different teams and operational systems of the new airport, according to a statement from TAAG.
To provide greater flexibility and convenience of service to customers, the national flag carrier will provide four daily frequencies to Cabinda, with departures and arrivals exclusively to and from Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport.
According to the same document, the flights will be operated by a Dash 8-Q400 model aircraft with capacity for 74 passengers.
During the month of December, TAAG will also incorporate domestic routes in the Eastern region (Dundo, Saurimo and Luena), Soyo and other international connections, progressively, from the new airport, in the first quarter of 2025.
